Lower energy bills

A-rated sealed units trap heat inside, so your home stays warmer for longer and your heating works less hard — kinder to your wallet and the planet.

Less noise

Sealed double-glazed units dramatically reduce traffic and street noise — a noticeably calmer, more peaceful home, even on busier main roads.

Better security

Toughened glass and multi-point locking make double-glazed windows and doors far harder to force — real peace of mind for your family.

Why upgrade

Old, draughty or misted-up glazing? It's costing you

If your windows rattle, let in draughts, or you can see condensation between the panes, the seals have failed and you're losing heat (and money) every day. Upgrading to modern A-rated double glazing is one of the most effective improvements you can make to any older home.

  • Energy-efficient, A-rated sealed units
  • Warm-edge spacer bars to reduce condensation
  • Toughened & obscure glass options
  • FENSA certificate confirming Building-Reg compliance

How it works

What makes glazing "A-rated"?

A modern sealed unit is two (or three) panes of glass separated by a spacer bar and filled with an inert gas such as argon. A microscopically-thin low-emissivity (low-E) coating reflects heat back into the room, while a warm-edge spacer cuts cold-bridging around the edges. Together they earn the unit its Window Energy Rating — and the best are rated A or above.

  • Two panes with an argon-filled cavity
  • Low-E coating reflects heat indoors
  • Warm-edge spacer reduces condensation
  • A-rated as standard — A+ available
